Flashcab Benefits
Many people find the benefits of owning their own accessible vehicle liberates them from the constraints of waiting for taxis or relying on others for assistance and improves their family lifestyle substantially. These vehicles can add freedom and convenience to your life and now a trip to the shops or the movies is so easy it will become second nature.

In all Flashcab vehicles the wheelchair passenger has a spacious, comfortable compartment with unobstructed views through side windows and a forward windscreen, as well as personal contact with the driver and the other passengers. The concept embraces simplicity, quality and safety at an affordable price.

Access for the wheelchair is by a folding ramp through a rear door making use of the more common parking bays in carparks, side entry is often impossible due to lack of room. Safety is a major consideration in the conversion and the ramp is fabricated from steel tube sections and sheet steel and is particularly innovative in design with simplicity and strength being the main criteria. The restraints are the best available and well exceed the Australian Standards. The rear of the vehicle is built to protect the wheelchair passenger in the event of a rear end collision.

There are now many Flash Cabs  on the road, being used as Taxis and for private use throughout Australia and they are exported to New Zealand ,Ireland and Hong Kong. In 1995 our company was nominated for the BHP Steel Awards in which they gained a position on the short list of entries.
The NRMA and ACT Road Safety trust have purchased their own Flash Cab to demonstrate safe vehicle travel for the disabled and the vehicle was officially launched in ACT in February 96 by the ACT Chief Minister Ms Kate Carnell. Most taxi operators are ordering more Flash Cab vehicles for their fleets, as the response is so positive from their clients and drivers.
New Flash Cab vehicles have a second manufacturers compliance plate fitted and are in excess of the Federal requirements for Accessible Vehicles.
