Interested in how your vehicle is built? Shown below are the stages of construction that your vehicle goes through to ensure a high standard of safety and durability.The design of the ramps and application for wheelchair access are patented to Flashcab Australia and our manufacturing company.

Stage 1.

 

Vehicles are masked up and interiors removed ready for the removal of the rear of the car.Masking ensures your vehicle is kept in as new condition while modifications are undertaken.

Stage 2.

 

The rear roof and tailgate are removed to allow the new raised roof and windows to be fitted.A strong steel frame is installed to reinforce the passenger cell for the wheelchair passengers safety.      The floor of the vehicle is removed at the rear and a new floor installed at a lower level to provide  wheelchair occupants with a low ramp angle and also to ensure very good headroom and visibility The standard rear tailgate off the original vehicle is refitted above the ramp to maintain the design integrity of the vehicle.

Stage 3.

 

Vehicles are built by experienced craftsmen with years of body building knowhow. The design and construction must always meet or exceed the Australian design rules to comply with the standards of safety required of vehicle manufacturers in Australia. All welds,safety mount points and surface finishing undergoes a careful quality check at each stage to ensure your vehicle is delivered to a very high standard.

Stage 4.

 

Once the new body shell is complete and glass fitted each vehicle receives a thorough check before surface preparation for painting ;this ensures that the paint finish on your vehicle meets the standard of the original in the paint booth. This shot shows final checks before spray painting is commenced in the spray booth.

Stage 5.

 

Back from the paint shop the interior linings,window fittings and ramp is installed.The wheelchair restraint mounting points and retracting actuators are fitted at this stage.

Stage 6.

 

Final predelivery checks are made to each vehicle.A multi point checklist ensures your vehicle reaches you as per your order.New Premacy vehicles are being shown here ready to be signed out.

Stage 7.

 

Interstate delivery on car carriers either direct to clients address or via your local dealer is arranged.
