 Loading the chair

All loading and unloading of Wheelchairs and Scooters is completed from the rear making our system the simplest and quickest method of all wheelchair accessible vehicles available in Australia. The following photos detail step by step the loading and securing process used in all Flashcab vehicles

 Step 1

The wheelchair/Scooter is brought to the end of the access ramp and secured at the front of the chair using standard safety belt connectors. These seat belts are connected to one way retracting inertia reels that draw the chair into place at the front of the chair space inside

 Step 2

The chair cannot accidently topple backwards or roll backwards down the ramp.Very safe !  Electric chairs can move up the ramp under their own power into place:  Standard chairs are easily assisted with no chance that the chair can roll backwards once on the ramp. The ramp fitted can handle up to 300kgs and meets all current standards.

 Step 4

Once inside, the rear of the chair is secured using the simple ratchet tiedowns

A standard seat belt is provided to secure the chair occupant Very easy !!

Note that all loading and securing of the chair is completed from the rear....no need to clamber in through the front doors to complete the process of securing the chair

Note that the wheelchair occupant has very good forward and side vision as the raised roof line ensures plenty of headroom and space...very nice car to travel in.
